Estimator

Our client, a national specilaist civil engineering contractor to the power and water industries, are looking to appoint an experienced Estimator to join thier rapidly growing team in the North East.
Part of the Estimating Team tasked with meeting work acquisition targets. Preparation and ownership of tender submissions, budget quotations and Early Contractor Information including all aspects of bid preparation including pricing and quality submission. Work collaboratively with other estimators and project delivery teams to produce the best possible proposals to ‘win’ project opportunities to meet client needs, whilst seeking to find alternative and sustainable solutions that maximise environmental benefit and utilise specialist equipment. Working to deliver the estimating service and develop skills in wet, civil engineering estimating to strengthen the team and beyond.
Requirements –
HNC or above in Construction/ Civil Engineering Industry related subject
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of programmes (Excel/ Powerpoint/Word/Project/ outlook)
Experience within structural repairs/concrete repair is essential
Basic understanding of current contracts (i.e NEC3/4, JCT etc.) used within the construction and civil engineering industry.
Excellent Communication skills and attention to detail.
Ability to liaise and converse with clients in a professional manner.
Ability to write quality submissions including method statement etc. in a professional and succinct manner.
Flexibility and adaptability within shifting work programmes.
Experience within marine civils or works around water, waterways, ports harbours etc.
